Mirzapur, 18 November (HS). Special Court POCSO Act Judge Santosh Kumar Tripathi sentenced Dadoli tribal, who raped a minor, to 10 years imprisonment after his conviction. Also imposed a fine of Rs 20 thousand.
In fact, the plaintiff Sue had filed a complaint at Haliya police station on September 17, 2016, stating that her 10-year-old minor daughter had gone to get water from a hand pump some distance away from home on the evening of September 16. It is alleged that during this time, Dadoli caught the tribal minor, took him to the field and raped her. When the victim raised an alarm, my wife, her younger brother and many people of the village ran and the accused ran away. When the victim came home after the incident, she narrated her ordeal. On the basis of the written complaint of the plaintiff, Haliya police registered a case against the accused Dadoli tribal and presented the charge sheet in the court. To prove the case, Special Public Prosecutor Sunita Gupta presented a total of 10 witnesses in the court. On the basis of evidence and statements of witnesses, the court convicted Dadoli Adivasi alias Dadhi son of Bhulan, resident of Songadha police station, Halia district, Mirzapur and sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment. Also imposed a fine of Rs 20 thousand. In case of non-payment of fine, the accused will have to face additional imprisonment of six months.
