New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday shared the tableau of the newly-built Parliament House on social media amid opposition announcements of boycotting the inauguration program of the new Parliament House and invited feedback from the people.
In his post, along with a video of the tableau of the new Parliament House, Shri Modi urged people to express their reaction to the video in their own voice.
The Prime Minister tweeted, “The new Parliament House will make every Indian proud. This video provides a glimpse of this iconic building. I have a special request – share this video in your own voice that reflects your thoughts. I’ll retweet some of your responses. Don’t forget to use #MyParliamentMyPride.”
Shri Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament House on 28 March. The construction work of the new Parliament House was going on for the last three years. It is part of the ambitious Rs 20,000 crore Central Vista development plan.
It has been constructed by a Tata group company and initially an expenditure of Rs 862 crore was proposed on it. The actual expenditure is estimated to be much higher.
During the opening ceremony, it has been announced to organize a demonstration of some organizations there on Sunday.
According to Delhi Police sources, on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Parliament House, security arrangements will be tight in the area.
