Before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s next US visit, the American government has given a big surprise to India and has started an initiative to declare a holiday in the US on the occasion of Diwali, India’s biggest festival. Yesterday, a bill was introduced in the American Congress to declare Diwali as a federal holiday.
Senator Congresswoman Grace Meng, who introduced the bill, said that Diwali is a symbol of Prakash Parva for people all over the world.
