Shahjahanpur. Police on Friday arrested the accused youth after a video of a youth brutally beating two dogs with a stick went viral in Sadar Bazar area of Shahjahanpur police station in Uttar Pradesh.
After this video went viral, the Sadar Bazar police had registered a case against the accused youth under Section (11) of cruelty to animals.
Superintendent of Police S Anand told Univarta on Friday that a video went viral on social media on Tuesday in which a young man is beating two dogs badly with a stick, after taking cognizance of the video, the incident was identified in Police Station Sadar Bazar. It was told near a tomb in Jalal Nagar and the identity of the young man who was thrashed was established.
He told that after this a person named Shrees gave a complaint about the matter, on which a report was registered in Sadar Bazar police station and after identifying the accused, an attempt was made to arrest him but he could not be found, later the police arrested the accused on Thursday. (Arrested).
The Superintendent of Police said that under Section (11) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, the accused Azim Khan has been arrested and sent to jail.
