Sam Curran: In IPL 16 this year some players did not perform as per expectation. There were some players who were included in their team by the franchisees by bidding a huge price. However, these players remained high shop and faded dishes. One such player was England all-rounder Sam Curran. This player was bought by Punjab for an expensive amount of 18.50 crores but he could not do anything special. On the other hand, as soon as Sam Karan returned to his home country after being out of Punjab, he rocked the bat as soon as he went there.
Flop for Punjab Kings
This year’s IPL was not good for Punjab Kings and they got eliminated from the league stage itself. Once again Punjab failed to win the title. The players of his team did not perform consistently due to which he had to be out of the tournament. Sam Karan, Liam Livingstone were some of the big names that the franchise had included in their team by paying a huge price but they could not do anything special. If we talk about Sam Curran, he took 10 wickets in 14 matches with 276 runs. However, it was not enough to take Punjab to the playoffs as well.
Created a storm with the bat as soon as he went to England
Sam Karan may not have done much for his team Punjab Kings in IPL 16, but his bat has thundered as soon as he left for his country. In fact, he is playing and captaining Surrey in the Vitality Blast tournament. During the match against Middlesex, he presented a sample of amazing batting. Karan, playing the captaincy innings, hit 68 runs in only 47 balls which included 7 fours and 2 sixes. Thanks to his innings, Surrey defeated Middlesex.
