East Champaran, May 26 (HS). Relatives created a ruckus after the death of a child due to the treatment done by a drug dealer located at Station Road in Sugauli district. After the Friday incident, a large crowd of local people blocked the Indo-Nepal highway for hours.
The police who reached the information also had to face the anger of the people. According to the information, Sanjay Mahato, a resident of Sirisia in West Champaran, along with his family had come to his relative’s place in Bahurupiya village of Nagar Panchayat Sugauli. Where his three-year-old son Suraj got hurt in his leg. After which the child went to a medicine shop located on Station Road, NAP for treatment. Where the child was treated and plastered.
When the child became restless on Thursday night, the relatives brought him to see him. Where his plaster was cut and some medicine was given. After which the condition of the child started deteriorating. Seeing this, he was sent to another doctor. When the relatives were taking the child, he died on the way. After this incident, the parents and relatives of the child started crying and crying. After that they came back with the child and started making noise. After which the crowd of people gathered. Seeing the relatives and other people, the healer slipped away. In-charge medical officer Dr. Shubham Kumar told that the incident of death of the child being treated at Nitesh medicine shop has been reported.
A medical team is being formed to investigate the matter. Departmental action will be taken as soon as the inquiry report is received.
Police Station President Dhananjay Sharma said that the police is engaged in necessary action in the matter. Told that action will be taken by registering an FIR after identifying those who block the road.
