Noida. In the ISKCON temple located in Sector-32 of Noida’s Sector-24 police station, a man along with a priest entered the temple premises and assaulted the priest with a sharp weapon, seriously injuring him. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, registered the report of the incident and arrested the accused.
Giving information about the case, Station House Officer Sector-24 Amit Kumar said that Deepak (Devkinandan Gopal Das) who is serving full-time in the ISKCON temple located in Sector-32. He filed a report in the police station last night that on May 24 he was in the temple premises, during which a person named Jitendra Jha came there. He suddenly attacked him and hit him on the head with a sharp weapon. Due to which he got seriously injured. After which the devotees thrashed the person and took him to the police station. A complaint has been given to the police in this matter.
On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case and started investigation. The police is probing why the man had barged into the temple premises and assaulted the Pandit.
