According to RBI, even now the printing presses are working only by giving their best. But to change 2000 notes in the coming time, the printing press will have to increase its speed by 40 percent. So that the target of changing 2000 notes can be met in the coming 5 months. Let us tell you, from the year 2018, the printing of 2000 notes is closed. At present, the focus of the Reserve Bank is only on printing 500 notes.
Demonetisation also increased the pace
Let me tell you, in 2016, when 500 and 1000 notes were closed. Even then the printing press worked 24 hours a day. In their place, new notes of 200, 500 and 2000 were introduced. Even at that time the printing press used to print notes at a faster rate to manage the cash flow.
Notes can be changed till 30 September
The Reserve Bank of India has given enough time till September 30 i.e. 4 months to the people to exchange 2000 notes. During this time people can exchange their 2000 notes. However, only 10 notes of 20000 i.e. 2000 can be changed at a time.
