Moradabad, May 26 (Hindustan Times). The child welfare committee rescued the girl who had been abducted from West Bengal from Dilari police station area. The girl was abducted by a youth from Aliabad, Dilari. Police and CWC have taken this action on the information of the State Child Commission.
Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Moradabad President Amit Kaushal said that a 17-year-old girl from North Dinajpur district of West Bengal had gone missing from home on April 25. The relatives had lodged a report in this matter at the Chopra police station in North Dinajpur itself. Later, on enquiring, the relatives came to know that the girl was with Pankaj Kumar, a resident of Aliabad village under Dilari police station area of Moradabad district. After which the West Bengal Police contacted the Delhi-based Mukti Foundation, which had corresponded with the Uttar Pradesh State Children’s Commission, to recover the girl. After receiving instructions from where, on Thursday, CWC President Amit Kaushal, members Harimohan Gupta and Akhilesh Kumar along with Police’s Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) in-charge Parikshit Sharma, SI Israr Ahmed and constables Sandeep and Shalu Malik and Dilari police took Aliabad to Aliabad. Dabish in There was no mention of the presence of a teenager in the house. After which the team found another boy, on whose tip the team rescued the girl and brought her to Moradabad.
CWC President Amit Kaushal told that at present the girl has been sent to the shelter home. West Bengal Police has been informed. Further action will be taken by the West Bengal Police only. The CWC chairman said that earlier on Saturday also a girl from West Bengal was freed from Thakurdwara police station area.
