A campaign has been launched by CBIC and Gandhinagar State GST to poison the elements who are raking in crores of lime from the country’s exchequer through illegal input tax credit scams through bogus billing on the basis of bogus GST numbers. and the staff has been deployed in the field to find the bogus numbers and so far as many as 1042 bogus numbers have been found in Saurashtra and an investigation has been initiated by the Central and State GST on how many rupees worth of financial transactions have been done through them.
Officials of Central Goods and Services Tax and State Goods and Services Tax have launched a campaign for the past three days to find bogus GST numbers and a committee has been formed to monitor the entire campaign. According to Central and State GST sources. According to Saurashtra alone, as many as 1042 suspicious numbers have been noticed. Action is being taken on them. Preventive Headquarters in Central and Enforcement Wing in State GST are continuously taking action for this.
It is known from the sources that during this investigation, if it is found that suspicious transactions have been done through the numbers, such numbers will be blocked, their tax credit will be stopped and if necessary, steps will be taken to attach the property.
However, the investigation is at the preliminary stage, so whether the bogus transactions have been done through the numbers that have been received, the investigation is being done by the range office and the constituents in the state. It is known that when it is known that big financial transactions have taken place by the Preventive Department, then action including search will be taken.
5 scammers caught in Palitana-Amreli multi-crore GST scam

In Bhavnagar district, these people used to get Aadhaar card and PAN card from uneducated and poor people and used the documents to perpetrate the scam.
