BSP supremo Mayawati, in the meeting of party officials held at the state headquarters in Lucknow on Sunday, called upon the workers to get involved in the preparations for the civic elections (Nikay Chunav) with full capacity. He said that in the civic elections (Nikay Chunav), only the workers living among the public will be made candidates.
He said that everyone has to get involved strongly in the civic elections. People are currently suffering from inflation, poverty, unemployment and poor law and order situation. BJP has failed on all these issues. Smart cities are only on paper. The condition of the public is bad due to inflation and poverty.
He said that the selection of candidates for the civic body elections will be done after careful consideration. Preference will be given to those people who live among the people of their area and are interested in their welfare development.
