New Delhi (Agency/Talks): During the last 24 hours in the country, 25 active cases of corona virus (Covid-19) epidemic have increased in six states and two union territories and five patients have died during this period.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Wednesday that till 7 am, more than 219.87 crore vaccines have been given. In the last 24 hours, 75,488 vaccines were administered. In the same period, 168 active cases of corona were reduced and during this period four people died in Kerala and one in Gujarat due to the epidemic. With this, the death toll from this disease has reached 5,30,596 in the country. The daily infection rate is 1.19 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, with the release of 518 people from this epidemic during the last 24 hours, their total number has increased to 4,41,33,433. The recovery rate in the country is 98.80 percent. The active case rate is 0.1 percent and the death rate is 1.19 percent.
With the reduction of 76 active cases of corona infection in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours, their total number has come down to 675 and the number of people who got rid of this disease has increased to 79,86,230. The death toll in the state remains at 1,48,404. In Tamil Nadu of South India, 30 active cases have come down to 419.
During this period, after the recovery of 74 people, the total number of people who got rid of it has increased to 35,55,475. The death toll in the state remains stable at 38,049. There are 1,886 active cases in Kerala. In the same period, the number of people recovering from the corona epidemic has increased to 67,52,092 and the death toll has reached 71,447 due to the death of four patients in the same period.
There are 115 active cases in the national capital Delhi and 19,80,263 people have been freed from the corona pandemic so far. It is a matter of relief that the figure of the dead remains intact till 26,516. With the decrease of eight active cases of corona infection in Karnataka, their total number has come down to 1,544. The total number of people who got rid of this has increased to 40,29,022 and the number of dead is stable at 40,302.
Ten active cases of corona have come down to 254 in Gujarat. During this period, after the recovery of 24 people, the total number of people who got rid of it has increased to 12,66,097, the death toll is stable at 11,042. Apart from this, there are two active cases in Arunachal Pradesh and the total number of people who got rid of this epidemic has reached 66589 and the death toll remains at 296.
In Himachal Pradesh, the number of active cases has increased to 33 and the death toll is stable at 4211. In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, two active cases have come down to 19 and the death toll remains at 4785. With the increase of one active case in Manipur, their total number is 11 and in Uttarakhand 38 active cases.
With the reduction of 11 active cases of corona infection in Telangana, their total number has come down to 116. With this, the total number of people who got rid of the epidemic has increased to 8,36,803. The death toll in the state is stable at 4,111. Two active cases have increased to 59 in Punjab. The number of people recovering from this virus has increased to 7,64,776 while the death toll remains at 19,289.
With the reduction of 16 active cases in West Bengal, their total number has come down to 143, and the number of people who got rid of this epidemic has reached 20,96,759. The death toll is stable at 21,531.
