In such a situation, the Sutak of the solar eclipse will take 12 hours before the start of the solar eclipse from 2.29 pm on the night of Diwali. The doors of the temple will be closed on the night of Diwali due to the sutak and the rules related to eclipse like not touching the deities will be followed from the night of 24th to the evening of the second day. However, in places where the sun sets before the eclipse ends, the solar eclipse will also end. That is why Govardhan Puja will be celebrated on 26 October.
